"The Lord asks everything of us, and in return he offers us true life, the happiness for which we were created. He wants us to be saints and not to settle for a bland and mediocre existence.”
So Pope Francis opens the exhortation
Gaudete et Exsultate (“Rejoice and Be Glad”). During this Lent and Easter Time, we will read and reflect upon this document in a six-session series, at two different times and locations.
We will meet on six Wednesdays beginning on March 20 and ending on May 1 (no meeting on April 17 during Holy Week). You may attend a daytime session from 10:45am to 12:15pm in the St. Scholastica Ministry Center library, OR an evening session from 7:30 to 9:00pm at St. Joseph Parish (room to be determined).
Please register by sending an email with your name and session preference (morning or evening) to Andrew Bechman at
andybechman@saintscholastica.com or by leaving a voice message at 412-781-0186, x.18. We request a $10 donation for materials and refreshments, payable at the first session. Please reply by Monday, March 11.
Are you willing to take up Pope Francis’s challenge and open yourself to holiness in a new way this Lent? We hope you can join us!
